Hi!
I love Thanksgiving. Its a meaningful holiday with family and food. I always think about everything that I am grateful for; friends, family, pets, a meaningful job....
Also, I get up really early the next day to go shopping. Its fun to try and get bargains and then come home and wrap all the presents I have been hiding in my closet and the ones I just bought. This year I did not buy as many ahead of time, so my closet was not shedding presents on me whenever I opened it. I get a sense of accomplishment from the early start of the day, the sales and theoretical saving of money, and then getting presents wrapped. It also brightens up my living room with cheerful packages.
Truly,
Tracy

Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean Jack Sparrow

Today, my daughter and I went to Disneyland to ride the changed Pirates of the Caribbean. It was great! Some new special effects, some good changes and Captain Jack Sparrow added.
I recommend it for anyone who likes the original ride and/ or the movie.

Spoiler space

The parrot at the beginning is now on a shovel and the map has the names of the movie's locations.
More skeletons in the beginning bar scene, fewer weapons my daughter claims too.
In the captain's bedroom, a skeleton of a parrot is on/near the pinaforte.
Cool special effect with Davy Jones talking to you - his face is put on a cloud of mist.
Captain Barbosa is now asking the town to surrender Jack Sparrow.
The mayor is being asked for the location of Captain Jack Sparrow, while Jack is hiding behind some ladies' dresses on manniquin forms.
The chase scene has two women chasing the pirates - one with a broom, the other with a wooden pichfork? Jack is now hiding in the barrel.
At the end you don't have those two guys pulling treasure up the hill. Jack is in a little room sitting comfortably and drinking and singing about the treasure. It appears dead men do tell tales.
Davy Jones lets us know how close a shave we have had and that next time we won't be so lucky.
Lots of fun!

My family has come and gone. Does anyone else have a kind of let down afterwards? Its only 8:13 and half of my Christmas is over. Its not about the presents, its about all the build-up and then its over. Very weird.
